                   Dancing in the Moonlight

                   Twilight seeps through the windows,
The call of night beckons her.
                   Stepping out of her prison,
The night's fresh air welcomes the lost soul.

                   Moonlight touches her skin,
As the stars dance in the sky.
You see her close her eyes,
As she reaches for the Heavens above.

The wind sweeps her soft hair,
                   Across her pure skin.
                   She looks towards the breeze,
                   And cherishes the moment.

Two paths form right before her hazel eyes.
Each leading down a different road,
                   A different life.
She is now standing in the middle.

                   For a moment in time,
                   The wind stops blowing,
                   The stars stop shining,
All that is left is the dim moonlight.

                   Time is at a standstill,
As she stands in front of the choices before her.
She pushes down the anxiety that begins to build.
Her eyes dart back and forth between each road.

                   A road that is easy,
                   With no work involved.
Or a road that is difficult and painful,
Yet, the rewards are so much greater in the end.

Each road has its turns and bumps.
                   But, only one road,
                   Will lead the girl,
                   To something worth everything.

As the moonlight pours onto her face,
                   And lights up the street,
She makes the decision of her life.
To choose a life of hard work and struggles,

To reach her destiny, even if it means walking down that road, forever.
